1st period: During English 10, we worked on Code Academy and our blogs. I finished the lesson titled html basics. It did not take long to do, and was very simple. I helped Jeremiah with making his blog, and I showed him how to use it.
2nd period: In Spanish II we finished our movie posters. Jared and I finally decided which one we wanted to use. The link for it is below.

3rd and 4th period: We drove with Coach McCaleb again today. It was the last day we had to ride with them. After driving, we stopped and got something to eat at the Chinese restaurant.
5th period: I ate lunch in Coach McCaleb's room today. We ate for about 10 minutes, and then went to lunch for the rest of 5th period.
6th period: We did not do anything in Peer Leadership today because we got out of school at 12:00. The weather was supposed to get bad around the time school normally lets out.
7th period: No school.
8th period: No school.

April 10, 2013 Journal
1st period: During English 10, we worked on computers. Our teacher, Mr. Simmer, assigned us work to do on a website called Code Academy. We worked on the lesson called html basics. It was very easy because all you had to do was read, and then follow the instructions on the side of the webpage.
2nd period: In Spanish II we went to the computer lab and worked on our movie poster project. My partner is Jared Crocker. We made to movie posters, but we can't decide which one to use. 3rd and 4th period: During third and fourth period I rode with Coach McCaleb in the Driver's Ed car. We got to get something to eat from Wendy's. The person driving, Ling, had never ate Wendy's before, so we introduced her to it.
5th period: For lunch, I ate a grilled chicken sandwich with honey mustard and french fries. It was delicious.
6th period: In Peer Leadership we reviewed who was tutoring who and talked about ordering t-shirts. The rest of the class I talked to my friends.
7th period: During Chemistry we moved on to Chapter 8, Sections 1 and 2. We are learning how to balance chemical equations. It is very challenging, but I really enjoy doing it. Our test is tomorrow, April 11.
8th period: In yearbook I worked on the work I had for English 10. We had a couple of blog posts, and then I worked on my blog.

1st period: During English, we had to take the STAR reading and math tests. I do not enjoy doing this because the results of the tests will determine some of the classes we will be in next year. The STAR reading test was very easy for me because I read a lot. It was a lot of vocabulary and reading passages. The STAR math test was kind of difficult because we could not use a calculator, only pencil and paper. After we finished taking our STAR tests, our teacher assigned us three blog posts to comment on.
2nd period: During Spanish II we took a test on the novel "In the Time of the Butterflies". It was very easy because I thoroughly enjoyed reading and learning about the book. We also discussed a project due in the next couple of weeks. We have to pair up with someone in the class, and make a movie poster or a DVD cover.
3rd and 4th period: Normally during 3rd period I have GEMS and during 4th period I have ACT Prep, but this week is an exception to that. Sumer Hudson and I are riding with Coach McCaleb for Driver's Ed. He only had one student driving, and he asked us to ride with them.
5th period: Fifth period is my lunch period. I got a grilled chicken flatbread sandwich from Wendy's to eat.
6th period: I take Peer Leadership during 6th period. During the class we talked about bringing in t-shirt money and we went over who we are tutoring. I tutor Anthony Moseley in Workforce Essentials.
7th period: During Chemistry we reviewed for our test on Thursday. We are learning how to convert moles to grams, do percent composition, and much more. We did about 12 problems, which I had no trouble with. After everyone completed the work, we moved on to taking notes on Chapter 8, Section 1.
8th period: My 8th period class is Yearbook. I do not have a yearbook page to work on because I am doing the prom page, and prom is April 13. I worked on the blog posts my English teacher assigned us.
